Marco Franchina is an Italian-born contemporary collage and mixed-media artist raised in Southern California. After an international career as a photographer working with publications including Vogue, Rolling Stone, The New York Times Magazine, and Interview Magazine, he turned his focus to creating layered mixed-media works.

Working on canvas and wood, Franchina combines photography, vintage movie posters, found paper, paint, and collage to create richly textured compositions. Inspired by the weathered billboards and torn street posters of the 1970s, his work explores memory, impermanence, nostalgia, and the passage of time through processes of tearing, layering, and reconstruction.
